Appoint elders. Adorn the doctrine. Be ready.
- Paul leaves Titus in Crete to appoint elders who hold the trustworthy word, and he tells him to rebuke those who upset whole families with empty talk.
- Older and younger men and women, and slaves, are to live so that they adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in everything.
- The kindness of God saved them, not by works they did, through the washing of regeneration, and they must insist on good works and avoid foolish controversies.
